Implementation Assistance
Remote WinSPC Implementation & Training
After a short conference call to discuss your technical environment, a DataNet solution engineer can use a remote connection to install WinSPC and to provide configuration instruction. The time requirement for a remote implementation is typically 1-6 hours. You can also bundle Virtual Training Classes, Remote One-On-One Training, or simply view pre-recorded asserts such as the WinSPC Basics Recorded Training session to get you started. These remote services provide an efficient and effective way to deliver the capability you need without the necessity to travel or schedule onsite resources.
Basic WinSPC Implementation
The Basic WinSPC Implementation service gives you 3 days of onsite assistance from a WinSPC engineer, typically split between training, installation, and on-the-shop-floor setup. Upon completion of this service, you will have an operational WinSPC deployment and a team oriented to its proper use. This service’s standard activities include:
- A project planning conference call prior to the onsite visit
- Installation and database configuration of WinSPC
- Classroom training (up to 10 users)
- Initial software setup (part setup, user setup, etc.)
- Device interfacing
- Data capturing test
- Real-time alarms test
- Identification of standard reports specifically relevant to your implementation
Turnkey WinSPC Implementation
The Turnkey WinSPC Implementation service is for customers who want our WinSPC engineers to fully manage every aspect of their implementation, whether because they want the peace-of-mind of everything being done to the highest professional standards or they simply don’t have the personnel available to complete the implementation in the desired timeframe. This service’s duration varies from customer-to-customer, depending on the particulars of the implementation. Specific activities of this service can encompass everything included in the Basic WinSPC Implementation plus:
- Full project management to the day of launch
- Hardware procurement and setup
- Extended training of WinSPC administrators and shop-floor operators
- Complete software setup (all parts, all collection plans, all devices, all alarms, etc.)
- Importing of existing part and process data into WinSPC
- Anything else necessary for a successful implementation
Data Migration
Data migration support is not required for most WinSPC implementations. However, if you have data or setup information in a legacy SPC software system or in Microsoft Excel, we can help migrate and preserve data for historic analysis and to help reduce the migration cost to a new system. The migration can be of both raw measurement data and configuration data, such as parts, variables, spec limits, attributes, and tag values.
