Verifying the setup of database client utilities eases the installation of WinSPC

When installing WinSPC on MS SQL, many users have reported a "Vendor Initialization Error" when attempting to connect to the database. This error is easily avoided by making certain that your client utilities from the database software provider are properly installed before installing WinSPC. The utilities are found on the installation CD of the database software.

DataNet offers more detailed information about database installation and set-up in its SQL Server Configuration Guide. This guide ships with the WinSPC software CD. Additionally, it can be found in electronic (PDF) format on the WinSPC installation disk.
