Configure a Tag to be Characteristic-Specific

Did you know that, as an alternative to associating a tag to all the characteristics of a part, you can associate it to a subset of those characteristics? This enables you to accommodate tag requirements that differ between characteristics.

1. Create the tag and characteristic(s) as you normally would.
2. Double-click the tag. This displays the Tag Setup dialog box.




3. Click the Assignments tab.




4. Select the Just these characteristics option.




5. Under Not Tagged, select a characteristic to which you want to associate the tag.




6. To the left of the Not Tagged list, click the left pointing triangle.




7. This moves the characteristic to the Tagged list.




8. Repeat these steps as desired.
9. Once you are satisfied with your tag assignments, click OK.
