Stay Organized and Improve Productivity Using WinSPC Device Folders

Customers who work with a large number of devices can now organize their files into many folders. Device folders are created, named and arranged in the same way as WinSPC part and collection plan folders, allowing customers to better manage devices and improve productivity. Device folders are set up within the Administrator window of WinSPC.

To organize files and create new folders, administrators simply right-click in the Devices branch of the Administrator window and select New --> Device Folder.

In addition to keeping your devices well-organized, a new Device Selector feature has been added to WinSPC to allow for an even quicker way to select devices during collection plan setup. To understand this feature, follow this quick tutorial:

1. From the Administrator window, double-click a collection plan. The collection plan setup dialog box is
displayed.

2. There are device setup options on both the General sub-tab of the Step Options tab and on the
Tag Options tab. From either location, click the Browse button.

3. In the Device Selector dialog box, expand the list of devices as needed and select the desired device.

4. Click OK. The selected device is inserted into the proper field in the Collection Plan setup dialog box.
