Generating a capability report in WinSPC:

1. Create and open a query in WinSPC.

This example query consists of three variables.

2. In the Query Tool

, click the Custom Web Reporter/Advanced Analysis button on the tool bar.

3. In the Custom Web Reporter dialog box that is displayed, check the Run Report on Each Characteristic check
box, select the Capability report from the dropdown list and click OK.

This generates a capability report for each characteristic in the query.

4. To refine the scope and presentation of your analysis:
a. In the QC menu, click Variable Charts→Process Capability Chart.
b. When prompted, select the variable to analyze, its subgroup size and any other desired information.
(Note: Including specification limits causes capability and performance statistics such as Cpk and Ppk to be calculated.)
