Industrial Mineral Manufacturer Selects WinSPC Real-Time Quality Control Software

C-E Minerals Chooses WinSPC Software To Perform Real-Time Quality Control And Automate Data Collection

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., November 20, 2008--DataNet Quality Systems (DataNet), developers of WinSPC® and QualTrend® quality control software, announced today that C-E Minerals, a worldwide supplier of industrial minerals, will deploy WinSPC software.

“We purchased WinSPC to replace our legacy DOS-based system, reduce man-hours, increase worker productivity, and more quickly and efficiently manage our quality program,” said Dave Tucker, technical sales manager at C-E Minerals. “We chose WinSPC because we thought the product was easy to use for our shop-floor operators and quality engineers, who will be required to enter data, manage quality tests, and create reports.”
 
C-E Minerals, already recognized for its superior product quality and consistency, will begin implementation at its Andersonville, GA facility, where it will use WinSPC at ten different workstations. The company plans to collect shop-floor data automatically from a variety of sources, perform real-time charting, and create certificates of analysis for its customers. It will roll out WinSPC using a wireless WAN configuration and plans to import and unite six year’s of historical quality data from disparate sources, such as Excel, .txt files and others.
