DataNet Quality Systems Announces Release of WinSPC C/S v1.6


SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--Dec. 1, 2003-- DataNet Quality Systems has released its latest version of its leading Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, WinSPC C/S v1.6.

WinSPC C/S v1.6 includes several new features to help users improve their SPC data collection operations such as:
  • Specification Limit Triggers -- Enables users to create customized tests and triggers for specification limit violations; users can define violation colors, text and triggering event
  • SQL Data Collection – Enables users to issue SQL commands to retrieve data from existing databases for analysis; includes automated scheduling to regularly pull data from external sources
  • Simplified user interface – Provides shop-floor operators with quick and easy access to collection plans through a Windows Explorer-style interface; provides administrators with unlimited folder levels to group and arrange collection plans to match data collection operations
  • Job Tags – Enables users to separate data into distinct jobs or batches when there is a change in the manufacturing process; resets control limits, visually separates and tags data on charts and enables queries on specific jobs or batches for statistical analysis and reporting

These new features add even more flexibility and power to DataNet’s award-winning WinSPC C/S software, which already is distinguished by its: client/server architecture and true relational database model that supports Oracle, MS SQL, and other databases; global administrative capabilities that minimize configuration time; ability to collect data from almost any automated digital output in real time (gages, devices, keyboard, CMMs, PLCs, lab equipment, electronic testing devices and barcode); ability to print batch book reports on any database field as well as fully customizable reports; intelligent closed-loop feedback with more than ten configurable triggers to automatically flag and respond to user-defined violations; and multiple language support.
